Non-code uses of Claude Code: a curated collection

Claude Code isn't just for writing software. I've been collecting projects that use it for research, writing, budgeting, therapy tracking, and more.

I've been using Claude Code for a lot more than just writing code, and I know I'm not the only one. The simple pattern of a repository — a delineated part of a computer filesystem — turns out to be an immensely useful framework for both prototyping agentic workflows and rolling out fully-featured ones.

So I started collecting examples in a repo called Non-Code Claude Code. It's a curated list of projects — both mine and others' — that use Claude Code for things that have nothing to do with traditional software development.

What people are building

The categories span a surprising range. There are research and analysis workspaces for deep dives into topics like ADHD drug access and technology stacks. Multi-agent setups for decision evaluation, think tanks, and panel debates. Personal productivity templates for budgeting, diary planning, and therapy tracking. Writing tools for blog management, content creation, and collaborative writing. Even finance tools for equity research.

The repository-as-workspace pattern

My personal philosophy, reflected in many of these experiments: the git repository is a powerful framework for agent workflows. In some cases I've started with a local Claude Code workspace approach and then migrated to a proper agentic framework in the cloud when I needed autonomous operation or full automation. But for many agent workflows, the local approach works remarkably well.

Some highlights from the collection include slash commands for filesystem organization, PR and media monitoring workspaces, a conversational CMS for blog management, and templates for structured deep research with voice pipelines.

Contributing

If my own projects are over-represented, it's simply because it's quicker to copy from my own index. I actively seek out others' work during periodic excursions through GitHub. If you have a non-code Claude Code project you'd like included, feel free to open a pull request or drop me an email. Check out the full collection on GitHub.
